ONE DAY ONLY! We are extremely excited to welcome local actor, children's theatre director and Charleston Stage Ensemble Member, Ryan Pixler, to Threshold Rep. Ryan will be offering a one day acting, improv, and musical theatre workshop alongside award-winning children's theatre director, Courtney Sarre.


Campers will have a blast with Mr. Ryan in acting and improv games, as well as musical theatre choreography with Mrs. Courtney.

Performers can sign up for one or both workshops as each will have its own curriculum.

(Students enrolled in both camps will stay for lunch and should bring $10 cash)

COURTNEY SARRE Former artistic directer and co-founder of the Musical Theater Center, has spent the past 20 years directing and coaching children across the country. From working with children in at-risk  schools to preparing children for auditions on Broadway, Courtney has always used theater as a tool to help develop the whole child. Courtney spent her early adult years performing professionally for Walt Disney World. After receiving her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Children's Theater from The College of Charleston, Courtney moved to Washington, DC where she directed and choreographed numbers for the White House Easter Egg Roll.

RYAN PIXLER is a graduate of the College of Charleston with a degree in Theatre for Youth. Ryan is a former children's theater director and currently a third grade assistant teacher at The Cooper School. He was most recently seen in Charleston as Wessex in Shakespeare in Love, Bob Cratchit in A Christmas Carol, and Chef Louis in Disney's The Little Mermaid. Other favorite credits include: Carmen Ghia in The Producers (Charleston Stage), Pinocchio in Shrek the Musical (Oklahoma Shakespearean Festival), Robertson Ay in Mary Poppins (Charleston Stage). This season with Charleston Stage, Ryan will be reprising his role as Bob Cratchit in A Christmas Carol, and appearing as Harry Bright in Mamma Mia and Lumière in Disney's Beauty and the Beast.
